PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M football was well represented when the Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its 2026 Preseason All-SWAC Teams, as five Panthers earned recognition heading into the upcoming season.
The Panthers placed three players on the Preseason All-SWAC First Team Offense and two on the Preseason All-SWAC First Team Defense, highlighting the depth and talent returning to The Hill following the program's 2025 SWAC Championship season.
Leading the offensive selections is reigning SWAC CO-Freshman of the Year Chase Bingmon, who earned First Team honors at running back after a breakout campaign that saw him emerge as one of the conference's premier playmakers. Joining Bingmon on the first team are veteran offensive lineman Calvin McMillian, a key anchor of the Panthers' offensive front, and tight end Travon Jones, whose versatility and production made him one of the top players at his position.
On the defensive side, Prairie View A&M landed two first-team selections in defensive lineman Malik Gucake and defensive back Eric Zachery. Gucake returns as one of the conference's most disruptive defensive linemen, while Zachery headlines a talented Panther secondary after an impressive 2025 campaign.
The five first-team selections are among the most in the conference and reflect the high expectations surrounding Prairie View A&M entering the 2026 season.
