PRAIRIE VIEW, TX — The Prairie View A&M women's cross country hosted their annual home meet on their on their course, competing in the 5K in at the Clifton Gilliard XC Invite.

Lea Murphy paced the Panthers, breaking into the top ten with an 8th-place overall finish and a time of 20:03.6. Close behind her was teammate Maya Clark, who finished in 11th place by crossing the line in 21:31.8.

Sydney Daniels completed the 5K course in 24:35.8, followed closely by Layla Phillips with a strong time of 24:39.1. Desiree Roberthson maintained a steady pace to finish in 25:12.6, Savyonya Collins crossed the line in 25:41.2, and Eslie Ngoran rounded the team with a time of 27:30.5.

With the home meet successfully in the books, the Panthers will look to take the momentum from racing in front of their home supporters and build on it as the season continues.
