Personal: Nelson is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. . . She was born on March 5, 1993. . . She played on the Rufus King High School varsity volleyball team for two years. . . During her time there she was selected for the 1st Team All-Conference both years. . . Nelson then played volleyball at Hutchinson Community College. . . In junior college, she was Verizon’s first “Player of the Week,” and she was selected for the 2nd Team All-Conference.
