Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Jimiaya Wright is a Sophomore Biology major from Houston, Texas, and a graduate of Eisenhower High School. She chose Prairie View A&M University for its strong biology program, excellent athletic training opportunities, and welcoming, family-like atmosphere. Her passion for sports and dedication to helping athletes inspired her to become a Student Athletic Trainer Aide, where her most memorable experience has been guiding an athlete through recovery and watching them return to game play.

Believing that communication, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail are the vital skills needed for athletic training, Jimiaya works primarily with the football team. Looking ahead five years, she aims to build a successful career in the field, with an ultimate dream job of becoming a Division I collegiate head athletic trainer. Outside of academics and sports medicine, Jimiaya enjoys making custom T-shirts, eating pizza, and watching Coraline or content from Matt Mathews. Her favorite holiday is Halloween.
