2024-25 Women's Basketball Roster
Biography
Nia Jordan, a grad student forward from Philadelphia, PA, is pursuing her Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction at Prairie View A&M. Her athletic journey took her from Bethune-Cookman University to Prairie View, where she continues to make significant contributions on the court.
If Nia could play one-on-one with any athlete, past or present, she would choose Maya Moore. One of her most memorable sports moments includes winning championships both in high school and college, underscoring her commitment to excellence and competitive spirit.
Nia’s passion for basketball is deeply rooted in her faith, with God being a central source of her motivation. She believes that trusting the process is one of the greatest challenges for athletes today and works diligently to stay focused on her goals.
Outside of basketball, Nia enjoys shopping and has a particular fondness for soul food. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, a time she cherishes for the joy of giving and receiving gifts.
Looking ahead, Nia hopes to make a meaningful impact on others' lives through her career. Although she does not have a specific dream job in mind, she is committed to using her skills and experiences to positively influence those around her. Nia chose Prairie View A&M because of the supportive coaching staff, the plans they have for her and her teammates in the 2024-2025 season, and the opportunity to pursue her advanced degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
