Dorcas Ola Bolarinde is a junior at Prairie View A&M University, pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering. As a Photographer and Filmmaker on the football media team, she combines her technical skills with a passion for storytelling through visuals.
A fan of entertainers like Sinmisola, Davido, and Kizz Daniel, Dorcas enjoys a variety of foods, particularly pounded yam and okra, as well as French fries. Her hobbies include photography, dancing, singing, writing songs and poetry, and creative directing. If she could be any fictional character, she would choose Junie B. Jones, reflecting her playful spirit.
Living by the motto "Life is limitless with God’s favour," Dorcas is dedicated to making the most of her talents. If she weren’t working with the football media team, she would focus on her photography business or collaborate with another campus organization as their photographer. Many might be surprised to learn that she is actually quite shy.
Dorcas dreams of becoming a gaming software developer or film director. In five years, she envisions herself starting her career with her Computer Engineering degree, potentially pursuing a Master’s, and enjoying the blessings that life has in store—perhaps even home ownership and marriage.
She chose Prairie View A&M for its proximity to home and the excellent award package, appreciating the many opportunities the university offers for professional, social, and emotional growth. Her passion for football media ignited during high school, where she discovered her love for film and editing through an AV production class and the Miller Film Academy.
The best part about being on the football media team for Dorcas is the opportunity to connect with new people each season, all bringing unique perspectives and skills. It’s a rewarding experience to collaborate with individuals who share her passions while continuously learning from one another.
