Cameron Newborn, a  redshirt freshman wide receiver from Little Rock, Arkansas, is pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Prairie View A&M.

Football has been a significant part of Cameron’s life since his days at Emerson High School, where he helped lead his team to its first playoff victory in school history—a highlight of his athletic career. Off the field, Cameron enjoys playing video games and enjoys watching Will Smith and his favorite film is The Blind Side.

Pasta is his preferred meal, and he values Christmas as a special time to reconnect with family. His game-day routine includes listening to music and praying, helping him focus and stay grounded. Cameron recognizes social media as a major challenge for athletes today, acknowledging its influence on both their personal and professional lives.

Cameron chose Prairie View A&M for its welcoming atmosphere, exceptional engineering program, and the positive reputation it has garnered. Looking ahead, he envisions himself graduating with a solid job offer upon finishing school.
