Darrell Starling Jr is a senior at Prairie View A&M University majoring in Mathematics. Hailing from Pelham, Georgia, he graduated from Pelham High School and currently plays the Star position.
His favorite entertainer is Desi Banks, and his all-time favorite movie is Shottas. When it comes to food, honey hot lemon pepper wings are his go-to. Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday — he simply loves to eat. Off the field, Darrell enjoys fishing, cooking, and gaming.
On gameday, music helps him lock in. He believes consistency is the greatest challenge for athletes today. His most memorable moment in football? Scoring the game-winning touchdown that sent his team to the semifinals.
In five years, he hopes to have achieved his long-term goal of making it to the NFL and competing at a high level. His dream job is to become an architectural engineer.
Darrell chose Prairie View A&M because it gave him the opportunity to play his final year of college football, be coached by one of the best staffs, grow both as a player and a young man — and to win.
