Dontay Hunter, a graduate student majoring in Entrepreneurship, Sales, and Recreation, is originally from Columbus, Ohio. He previously attended Purdue University and Ohio University.
His favorite entertainer is Adam Sandler, and his all-time favorite movie is Like Mike. Dontay enjoys a variety of foods, including Chicken Alfredo, Chipotle, Steak, Ribs, and Mac & Cheese, and he looks forward to Thanksgiving as it brings his family together.
His hobbies include reading and weight lifting, which he incorporates into his routine to stay in top shape. On gamedays, Dontay’s ritual is meditation, helping him stay focused and centered.
He sees one of the greatest challenges for athletes today as maintaining focus and keeping priorities straight. A standout moment in his sport was his first varsity game, where he intercepted a pass on his very first play.
In the next five years, Dontay aims to be in the NFL and to be remembered for achieving his goals through persistence and dedication. His dream job is to play professionally in the NFL. He chose Prairie View A&M because the university chose him, and he’s committed to giving everything he has to the program.
