Elijah Wilson is a junior safety from Las Vegas, currently majoring in General Studies at Prairie View A&M University. He graduated from Liberty High School and is proud to be part of the program.
His most memorable moment in sports was beating Bishop Gorman, snapping their 10-year winning streak. On game days, Elijah’s ritual is to pray and listen to R&B music to stay focused.
Off the field, Elijah enjoys cooking. His favorite entertainer is Martin Lawrence, and his all-time favorite movie is Friday. Mexican food is his favorite, and he loves both Christmas and Thanksgiving for the time spent with family.
Elijah believes one of the greatest challenges athletes face today is managing the many distractions life throws at them, along with mental health challenges.
Five years from now, he hopes to give back the knowledge he has gained throughout his career.
He chose Prairie View A&M because playing in the SWAC has been a dream, and he wanted to be part of history.
