Jordan Norwood, a junior running back from Deicino, California, is majoring in Sociology at Prairie View A&M, transferring from Bakersfield College.

His favorite entertainer is Martin Lawrence, and he enjoys the movie Rush Hour. Jordan loves soul food and considers Thanksgiving his favorite holiday because of the family gatherings. He cherishes any holiday where he can spend time with his loved ones.

On game days, Jordan’s ritual involves praying in a quiet room to center himself. He believes that managing a player's mental health is one of the greatest challenges athletes face today. A memorable moment for him was experiencing his first college game.

Looking ahead five years, Jordan hopes to earn his master’s degree, continue playing football for as long as possible, and find a place where he can truly enjoy himself. His dream job is to become a counselor. He chose Prairie View A&M to explore a new environment and experience something different from what he’s known.
