Tevin Carter is a junior quarterback from Memphis, Tennessee, majoring in Communication with a master's focus in Criminal Justice at Prairie View A&M University. A graduate of PURE Academy, Tevin brings leadership and a dynamic presence to the Panthers' offense.
One of his most memorable moments on the field came when he scored his first college touchdown—an experience that affirmed his place in the game and fueled his drive. His game day ritual includes prayer, stretching, turning on music, and warming up his arm—setting the tone for competition with focus and intensity.
Off the field, Tevin enjoys watching movies and spending quiet time reflecting. His favorite entertainer is Druski, and his favorite all-time movie is Transformers. When it comes to food, wings are his go-to. Christmas is his favorite holiday because of his love for Jesus and the meaning behind the season.
Tevin believes the greatest challenge facing athletes today is discerning what's real and what's fake, both on and off the field. Looking five years into the future, his goal is to be surrounded by the right people and in a position to provide for his family. His dream job is to become an NFL head coach.
He chose Prairie View A&M because of the coaching staff’s honesty, transparency, and hunger to build a winning culture—values that align perfectly with his own.
