Teylan Nelson is a sophomore linebacker at Prairie View A&M University, from New Orleans. Majoring in Business Management, Teylan’s previously attended Cypress Ranch High School.

Teylan is a fan of Kevin Hart and enjoys the thrilling action of Snakes on a Plane, his favorite all-time movie. He loves a hearty mix of gumbo, macaroni, and chicken, among other dishes, and considers Christmas his favorite holiday for its festive atmosphere and seasonal weather change. His hobbies include football, playing video games, and basketball, reflecting his diverse interests and active lifestyle.

On game days, Teylan follows a simple yet effective ritual: he wakes up early to pray, enjoys a meal, and listens to music to get in the zone. He believes one of the greatest challenges for athletes today is managing their limited free time effectively, ensuring they use it wisely amid their busy schedules.

One of Teylan’s most memorable moments came during little league when he scored the game-winning touchdown in the championship, a highlight that has stayed with him throughout his career. Looking ahead, he aspires to achieve wealth and success, with his dream job being a professional athlete. He chose Prairie View A&M University because it felt like the best fit for him, offering the ideal environment to pursue his academic and athletic goals.
