Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Mia Nunez is an outfielder for the Prairie View A&M softball team, wearing jersey number 22. She is a junior majoring in Kinesiology and is from Navasota, Texas, where she attended Navasota High School.

Mia's favorite movies are Let It Shine and Princess and the Frog, and she enjoys listening to Rod Wave and Dylan Scott. Seafood is her favorite food, and she loves the holiday season, particularly Christmas, as she enjoys the cold weather and viewing the holiday lights. One of Mia’s favorite hobbies is binge-watching different shows.

In softball, Mia has learned the importance of putting in effort, as practice makes perfect. She values making new friends from different places, considering it one of her most memorable experiences. Looking ahead, Mia hopes to have earned her Registered Nurse (RN) qualification and secured a good-paying job in the NICU in five years. Her dream job is to become a neonatal nurse.

Mia chose Prairie View A&M because of the welcoming atmosphere she felt, which made her feel at home.
