Biography

Kendon Hill, also known as "Kendo," is a sophomore track and field athlete from Cypress, TX, specializing in the 400 meters. While he does not yet have a recorded personal best, Kendon is driven by a passion for improvement and performance on the track. He is currently pursuing a major in Mechanical Engineering at Prairie View A&M University.

Kendon graduated from Bridgeland High School, where his love for track and field began, inspired by his father, whom he credits for encouraging him to run. One of his most memorable moments in the sport came when he caught up to and passed the person 40 meters in front of him during a 4x4 relay, helping his team secure a first-place finish. This moment encapsulated his competitive spirit and determination.

For Kendon, the greatest challenge athletes face today is the growing competition, as the level of skill and talent continues to rise. His passion for track is fueled by an infatuation with being the best and continually pushing himself to reach new heights. This season, his goal is to break the 47-second barrier in the 400 meters.

Outside of track, Kendon enjoys gaming and lifting, and his favorite food is steak. His all-time favorite movie is any Marvel film, and his favorite entertainer is AB. Christmas is his favorite holiday, as it brings people together for meaningful family moments.

Looking ahead, Kendon dreams of either competing in the Olympics or securing a well-paying job in the future. His ultimate dream job is to work at NASA, where he can contribute to groundbreaking advancements in science and technology. Kendon chose Prairie View A&M University because of the opportunities and the welcoming environment, which he felt would help him thrive both academically and athletically.
