Biography
Todd Woods is a sophomore from Missouri City who competes in the 200m, 400m, and 800m events. He has already made a mark in his collegiate career, earning Newcomer of the Week honors and setting the indoor 600m school record. One of his most memorable moments in track was winning at the Junior Olympics, a victory that continues to fuel his passion and drive for excellence on the track.
A Computer Science major, Todd credits his parents as his biggest inspiration, along with his personal drive to push himself to be the best he can be. He recognizes that staying healthy is one of the greatest challenges athletes face today, and he strives to maintain both his physical and mental well-being as he competes. Over the next five years, Todd hopes to qualify for Nationals and continue breaking records while pursuing his dream of becoming a machine engineer or even a professional athlete.
Outside of track, Todd enjoys listening to music, with Dj Ghost being his favorite entertainer. He loves watching Avengers: Infinity War, and his favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, thanks to the food and time spent with family. Known for his dedication and competitive spirit, Todd’s goals for the season include running a 45-second 400m and a 1:50 800m, as he continues to develop his talent and leave a lasting legacy on the track.
