Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Jade Uresti, known by her nickname J, is a sophomore at Prairie View A&M University majoring in Business Marketing. She is from Rosharon, Texas, and graduated from Ridge Point High School before joining PVAMU. Jade plays second base for the softball team and wears jersey number 15.

Softball has taught Jade the valuable lesson to never give up, no matter the situation. Her favorite movie is Fast & Furious, and she enjoys watching Kevin Hart for entertainment. Jade’s favorite food is chicken fried steak, and her favorite holiday is December, as it allows her to spend time with family and enjoy receiving presents. When she’s not on the field, she enjoys doing lashes on the side.

One of her most memorable moments in softball was hitting her first home run. Looking ahead, Jade hopes to have completed her degree and be working on her own cosmetic business in five years. Her dream job is to own her own cosmetics company. Jade chose Prairie View A&M because of the welcoming environment, which made her feel right at home.
