Madalyne Martinez, affectionately known as "Maddawg," is a senior pitcher from Killeen, Texas. She has been passionate about softball from a young age and plays with a right-handed bat and throw. Currently wearing jersey number 6, she is a standout in her high school softball career, where she has developed valuable skills on and off the field. Madalyne is a student at Robert M. Shoemaker High School, majoring in General Chemistry, with plans to become a forensic psychologist.
Softball has been a major influence in her life, teaching her the important lesson that "you can’t start a new chapter until the first one is finished." Her love for the game is rooted in experiences like representing Texas in Delaware at the Senior Little League in 2019. On her mother's birthday, she earned the honor of being named MVP of the series, a moment she will never forget, as she ran into her mother’s arms, tears of joy in her eyes.
Madalyne’s favorite holiday is Halloween, as she enjoys the opportunity to dress up in funny or scary costumes. When she’s not on the field, she enjoys watching Forensic Files, reading crime novels, and making picó de gallo. Her dream job is to become a top forensic psychologist in Texas, and she is determined to be recognized as one of the top 20 in her field within the next five years.
Her passion for the sport and education led her to choose Prairie View A&M University, where she feels a strong sense of family and appreciates the school’s efficient athletic program and excellent educational offerings. Her dedication to the game and her academic pursuits makes her an inspiring individual both on and off the field.
