Jayla Hollins is a Digital Media Arts major and multidisciplinary artist from Houston, Texas. A dedicated campus leader, Jayla serves as the Engagement and Recruitment Coordinator for KPVU-TV and the Vice President of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). Rapidly developing her technical craft, she mastered Adobe Photoshop in under a month and relies on a dual-camera kit featuring the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III and Canon EOS M50 Mark II.

Looking toward the upcoming media season, Jayla is eager to push past her comfort zone, build new connections, and expand her versatility across both graphic design and sports photography. Her key goals include refining her graphic composition techniques and gaining frequent, hands-on experience covering athletic events. Beyond her leadership and media pursuits, Jayla enjoys drawing, crafting, playing games, and watching cartoons and anime, even owning two retro gaming systems—a Nintendo Wii and a 3DS. Inspired by musician Thundercat, her favorite movie is Forrest Gump, and she enjoys Asian food and comfort dishes. She treasures Christmas as her favorite holiday for its winter season and the opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones.
