Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Sydney Parks is a freshman Architecture major at Prairie View A&M University, originally from Houston, Texas. With a creative eye and a passion for visual storytelling, Sydney joins the PVAMU Athletics Student-Media Team ready to grow her skills in photography and design. Using her Canon EOS Rebel along with Apple photo editing tools and Adobe Photoshop, she aims to sharpen her craft and contribute to the team’s visual identity.

This season, Sydney is excited to collaborate with her peers and see what the team can accomplish together. She's especially looking forward to improving her photography techniques and strengthening her networking abilities within the creative and athletic communities on campus. Her goal is to help increase recognition for the PVAMU Media Team while building her own reputation as a creator.

Outside of media, Sydney enjoys building Legos, coloring, and sketching—interests that align naturally with her architecture background. Her favorite movie is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and she can’t resist a good seafood boil. She loves Christmas for the way it brings people together and considers the Houston Rodeo an annual tradition. One of her long-term dreams is to design her own homes once she becomes successful in her field.

Sydney's drive to grow, creative mindset, and attention to detail make her a strong addition to this year’s media team.
