Following that year, Jackson was hired as a full-time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at PVAMU. The experience gained while working under Coach Pugh has prepared Jackson with many skills and techniques that most coaches lack. Jackson specializes in Point Guard Development while also being familiar with all aspects of an NCAA Division I program. Coach JJ continues to help lead women basketball programs and continues to develop kids that have gone on to play at the collegiate level.
Coach Jackson has high expectations of excellence in all student-athletes, along with great character and passion to help serve the community well. Jackson quotes “In order to be successful, we, Prairie View A&M University need that combination in our players” and will continue to drill those aspects into all of our student athletes, along with the confidence needed to bring out the best out of each and every athlete despite of their circumstances. She always says, “No matter how much talent you have, coaching and mentoring kids is a skill that you must be blessed with.”
