Ja'Nya Chrai Cotton Polk, a freshman from Oneonta, plays the center position on the court. As a dedicated student-athlete majoring in General Studies, Ja'Nya's passion for basketball is driven by a desire to make her family proud. Her standout moment on the court came when she achieved an impressive 13 blocks in a single game, highlighting her exceptional defensive skills.

Ja'Nya aspires to build a career that bridges her love for sports with her commitment to healthcare. Five years down the line, she hopes to become a Registered Nurse (RN) and eventually fulfill her dream job as a midwife nurse. Her drive to succeed both on and off the court is evident in her focus and determination.

When it comes to personal interests, Ja'Nya enjoys watching her favorite movie, Coraline, and laughs along with her favorite entertainer, Funny Marco. Her favorite food is fried okra, and she cherishes Thanksgiving for the opportunity to spend quality time with her family.

Ja'Nya's decision to join Prairie View A&M was influenced by the welcoming environment and the supportive coaches, making it the ideal place for her to grow both academically and athletically.
