Skylar Alexander is a sophomore at Prairie View A&M University, hailing from New Orleans, LA. Currently majoring in Electrical Engineering, Skylar’s educational journey has been shaped by a passion for the field and a commitment to excellence. Having attended the Academy of Our Lady for high school, she has maintained a balanced focus on academics and athletics.

Skylar’s passion for bowling is driven by her belief that a strong mental game and the ability to make adjustments in challenging situations are crucial for success. Her most memorable moment came during high school when she was announced as 1st team all-district in her senior year. Skylar also recognizes that a positive mental mindset is one of the greatest challenges for athletes today, as it can be the key to growth or a source of defeat.

Outside of sports, Skylar is an anime and manga enthusiast who loves fried chicken and counts The Princess and the Frog as her all-time favorite movie. She enjoys the holiday season, especially Christmas, because it’s the only time of the year she can reunite with family and friends.

Skylar aspires to achieve big goals in her career, including becoming a SWAC champion and securing a role as an electrical engineer at a leading tech company. She chose Prairie View A&M for its outstanding engineering program and medium-sized student body, which offers a more personalized experience and makes her feel valued and known among her peers.
