Biography
Amêlié Brewer is a sophomore at Prairie View A&M University, embarking on her first year of running for the Panthers. She is currently majoring in Architecture and Construction Science, she brings a strong academic focus to her athletic pursuits.
Amêlié’s passion for running was inspired by her oldest sister, and her most memorable moment in track so far has been running her final 4x4 relay in high school. Looking ahead, she aims to achieve new personal bests, one of them being able to run a 17-minute 5K, and maintaining her health throughout her college career.
Outside of running, Amêlié enjoys a diverse range of hobbies, including playing drums, biking, sewing, and learning languages. Her favorite foods include sushi, Halal, and Indian cuisine, and she cherishes Thanksgiving for its fall setting. Her favorite all-time movie is "Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart," and her favorite entertainer is OjaySuave.
Amêlié chose Prairie View A&M because of its proximity to everything she loves, offering a perfect blend of personal and academic appeal. Her dream is to own her own architecture and construction company, reflecting her commitment to both her field of study and future career aspirations. She believes that staying humble is one of the greatest challenges for athletes today, a mindset she strives to maintain as she develops both as a runner and a student.
