2025 Women's Cross Country Roster
Biography
Nina Story, a junior from Atlanta, Georgia, joins the Prairie View A&M women’s cross country team after transferring from North Carolina A&T. An agriculture major, Nina was inspired to begin running by her high school hurdle coach, Coach Dukes, and she continues to be motivated by a personal curiosity to discover just how fast and capable she can be. This season, her goals are to set new personal records, compete in finals, and most importantly, enjoy the process.
Nina brings a positive mindset and a resilient spirit to the team. One of her most memorable moments in the sport was falling during a hurdle race—an experience that, while challenging, helped shape her competitive mindset and mental toughness. She sees confidence as one of the greatest challenges facing athletes today and hopes to leave the sport in the future knowing she gave it her all.
Off the course, Nina enjoys painting and is a fan of churros, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and ballet legend Misty Copeland. Her favorite holiday is Christmas because of the time it allows her to spend with family. Looking ahead, Nina aspires to become a business owner and make the most of the opportunities Prairie View A&M offers through its strong agriculture program. With curiosity, grit, and joy fueling her journey, Nina is set to be a strong contributor to the team’s success.
