Precious Ugochukwu is a dedicated freshman tennis player from Sugar Land, TX. She is currently pursuing a major in Business Marketing at Prairie View A&M University. Her passion for tennis, driven by the support and encouragement of her family, has shaped her commitment to the sport and her pursuit of personal and athletic growth.

Precious is the daughter of Felicia and Philip and graduated from Clements High School. One of her greatest motivations for playing tennis is her family's unwavering belief in her. She recognizes that one of the biggest challenges athletes face today is maintaining self-belief, especially when the pressures of competition and performance mount. For Precious, tennis is more than just a game; it's a source of inspiration and a way to strengthen her resilience.

Her favorite professional athlete is Juan Martin Del Potro, whose playing style she admires. Precious enjoys unwinding by reading and writing, which reflect her creative and introspective side. Her all-time favorite movie is How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, and she loves steak as her go-to food. Among holidays, she holds Thanksgiving closest to her heart because it allows her to be surrounded by family, creating cherished memories.

Looking ahead, Precious aspires to continue building her skills both academically and athletically. She chose Prairie View A&M University for the strong guidance of Coach Duane Williams and Coach James Cowan, whose leadership and positive influence resonated with her. Their support, coupled with the university’s community, solidified her decision to join the PVAMU family.
