Savoria “Queen” Anderson is a senior track and field athlete from Burleson, TX, specializing in jumps and multi-events. She is currently majoring in Kinesiology at Prairie View A&M University. Throughout her career, Savoria has excelled in both indoor and outdoor competitions, leaving a mark with her accomplishments in triple jump.
Savoria graduated from Centennial High School, where she had a standout career. Her most memorable moment came when she returned after finishing 3rd in the indoor and outdoor events during her sophomore year. In her junior year, she not only claimed 1st place in both indoor and outdoor triple jump, but also broke the school record. This achievement solidified her as a force to be reckoned with.
Inspired by her mother, who was unable to reach the Olympic level, Savoria’s passion for track and field is driven by the desire to fulfill her mother’s uncompleted dream. This fuels her commitment to improving and achieving greater success. Her motivation is also rooted in the support she receives from her family and community back home.
Beyond track, Savoria enjoys a variety of hobbies, including painting, singing, dancing, and anything athletic. She loves seafood, tacos, candy, chips and queso, and wings. Her favorite movie is Love & Basketball, and she enjoys the holiday season, especially Christmas, because of the family time and festive spirit it brings.
Looking forward, Savoria hopes to continue improving in triple jump and pursue her dreams in the sport. Her ultimate career goal is to work in a field related to sports. She chose Prairie View A&M for its welcoming environment and her own instincts, trusting that it would be the right place to further her education and athletic career.
