Biography
Treasure Bethea, a freshman at Prairie View A&M University, competes in the 400m and 800m events, with personal best times of 56.97 and 2:19, respectively. Hailing from Killeen, Texas, she attended Harker Heights High School before continuing her academic and athletic journey at Prairie View A&M, where she is pursuing a major in Finance.
Treasure's love for track began in middle school when she discovered her natural conditioning during timed mile runs. Since then, she has been driven by the constant improvement she sees in her performance, as well as the satisfaction of completing challenging workouts. Her most memorable track moment is setting a personal record at Regionals.
In addition to athletics, Treasure enjoys hobbies such as art, reading, working out, and hiking. Christmas is her favorite holiday because it allows her to spend time with family and enjoy the tradition of gift-giving.
Looking ahead, Treasure's long-term goals include using her Finance degree to launch her career, invest in herself, and build multiple sources of income for financial freedom. She envisions a future where she can invest in real estate, make her own schedule, and have more time for family.
This season, Treasure aims to run the 400m in 54 seconds or less and improve her form. She chose Prairie View A&M for its team atmosphere and the support of the coaching staff.
