Camille “Cami” Middleton brings confidence, competitiveness and a strong team-first mentality to the Prairie View A&M volleyball program. The Fort Worth, Texas native believes volleyball requires true confidence and camaraderie to succeed, and her love for competing alongside her teammates continues to drive her passion for the game.

Middleton's favorite part of volleyball is winning with her teammates. Her favorite volleyball memory came from finishing second at Nationals, an experience that helped reinforce the value of competing at a high level with those around her.

If given the choice between an ace and a game-winning kill, Middleton would take the game-winning kill. Her favorite pregame meal is her grandmother's cooking, while her favorite game-day tradition includes enjoying good food and listening to dance music before competing.

Middleton chose Prairie View A&M because of the family feeling within the university community. She was drawn to a lively and encouraging campus environment where she immediately felt a strong sense of belonging.

To Middleton, representing Prairie View A&M means representing "THE STANDARD." She takes pride in being a Panther and understands the responsibility that comes with representing the university on and off the court.

Outside of volleyball, Middleton enjoys celebrating Halloween and spending time with her teammates, who she says all make her laugh. Her hidden talent is playing the ukulele. She also recognizes the importance of mental health and believes battling mental health challenges is one of the greatest challenges facing athletes today.
