Harvin brings size, determination and a team-first mentality to the Prairie View A&M volleyball program. The San Antonio native was inspired to play volleyball by a family member and has developed a passion for the game through the support of those closest to her.

Harvin credits her brother, mother and uncle as the driving forces behind her success. Their constant encouragement and support push her to work hard every day and continue growing as both an athlete and a person.

Her favorite volleyball memories come from her 17s club season, when she competed alongside her best friends and helped her team reach Nationals for three consecutive years. If given the choice between an ace and a game-winning kill, Harvin would choose the game-winning kill.

Before matches, Harvin enjoys jamming to loud music with her teammates. Her favorite pregame meal is Chick-fil-A nuggets and a fruit cup, while Death Note is her favorite series. She enjoys both Christmas and Valentine's Day because she loves being surrounded by family, celebrating love and exchanging gifts.

Harvin chose Prairie View A&M because of the coaching staff and the environment surrounding the volleyball program. She was drawn to a program where she felt the culture and atmosphere would allow her to grow.

To Harvin, representing Prairie View A&M means being selfless, holding herself and others accountable and always showing respect. She believes one of the biggest challenges facing athletes today is maintaining confidence when things do not happen on their expected timeline and remaining patient throughout the growth process.

Outside of volleyball, Harvin enjoys singing and spending time with her teammates. She credits Aubrey Goode and Dmya Hill as the teammates who make her laugh the most.
