Prairie View A&M University Athletics

A graduate of the University of San Diego, Emil is in his 14th season as the assistant volleyball coach at Prairie View A&M University. He is responsible for the daily instruction, supervision and counseling of 12 college athletes. Under his leadership and guidance, PVAMU won the 2006 Southwestern Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Championship. He currently works as the Operations Manager at Avondale House, a school for moderate to severely autistic kids.

Prior to becoming an assistant coach at Prairie View A&M, Emil was a decorated Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy for nine years serving on LHA-4, USS Nassau, LKA-117, USS El Paso and lastly, NROTC at Prairie View A&M University. While in the Navy, he was awarded various meritorious and campaign medals.

Currently, Emil enjoys participating in beach volleyball tournaments with his wife, Barbara and daughters, Paige and Alyssa.
