Tim Nordensson

Tim Nordensson is in his first season as the Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach at Prairie View A&M University, where he plays a key role in training, recruiting, and athlete development. He brings over two decades of coaching experience across collegiate, club, and high school volleyball, grounded in technical development, biomechanics, and performance training. 

Tim’s coaching career includes time as an Assistant Coach at the University of Arizona (2015–2018), where he specialized as the liberos coach and helped the team reach the Sweet 16 in 2016. He also led multiple high school varsity programs in Tucson, building strong team cultures and competitive success. At the club level, Tim was a Lead Coach and Head Travel Coach for Club Cactus, where he guided elite teams to national-level performance, earning two USA Volleyball National medals—a bronze as a head coach and a silver as an assistant. 

As an athlete, Tim began competing at age 4 in soccer and transitioned to volleyball in middle school. He competed for the Club Cactus boys’ program, where he was part of a nationally competitive team, and continued his playing career as a libero, winning a gold medal at the 2004 Men’s Collegiate Club National Championship. 

In addition to coaching, Tim’s experience as a certified personal trainer with expertise in volleyball-specific strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and mental performance. His philosophy centers on building confident, intelligent athletes who thrive in all areas of life. Tim is passionate about player development and is excited to bring his experience and energy to “The Hill”.
