Biography
Jacqueline Niño, a sophomore defensive specialist/libero from Mission, Texas, is majoring in Kinesiology at Prairie View A&M. A graduate of Veterans Memorial High School, Jacqueline’s decision to play volleyball was deeply influenced by her family, who have been her greatest supporters.
Her favorite all-time movie is Tangled, and she enjoys the music of Bad Bunny, her favorite entertainer. Jacqueline loves to indulge in wings and sushi and cherishes Christmas for the chance to spend quality time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys painting.
Jacqueline’s passion for volleyball is fueled by the support and encouragement she receives from her family. She identifies overcoming mental obstacles as one of the greatest challenges athletes face today, emphasizing the importance of mental resilience.
One of her most memorable moments in the sport was competing at nationals during her 18s club year, a significant achievement in her volleyball career. Looking five years ahead, Jacqueline aims to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and become a physical therapist.
Jacqueline chose Prairie View A&M because of the strong sense of community and the numerous opportunities available, which align with her academic and professional goals.
