Villavasso was named Director of Athletic Facilities at Prairie View A&M University in October of 2022. Villavasso’s role is to manage the daily maintenance and upkeep of all nine athletic facilities on the campus of PVAMU. He also has the responsibility of creating, implementing, and managing all enhancement projects for all athletic facilities to continuously provide the best student-athlete, recruiting, and guest experience.
Villavasso brings over 17 years of extensive athletic facility management experience to PVAMU from his former operations internships at Florida State University, as well as the positions of Assistant AD-Facilities & Operations at the University of Houston, Stadium Operations Manager at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas and Sugarland Skeeters Minor League Baseball Stadium, and Director of Operations at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee, Florida.
During Villavasso’s tenure at the University of Houston, he was a member of the Senior Staff responsible for the initial architectural planning and groundbreaking construction of the new TDECU Stadium and The Fertitta Center.
Villavasso also possesses hands-on facility and operations experience with several NCAA Final Four tournaments, NCAA Division 1 Conference and National Championships, MLS and International soccer matches, music concerts, and graduation ceremonies.
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Villavasso received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management from Florida State University.
