Alexander Bryan Sturges

Bryan Sturges began his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Prairie View A&M University in September of 2025.  He brings a diverse background as both a coach and former collegiate athlete.

Before joining the Panthers, Sturges served as an assistant coach at Alvin Community College, where he played a key role in offensive and defensive operations. During his tenure, Alvin achieved its highest in-season national ranking in program history at No. 12, highlighted by an 84% stolen base success rate.  He was instrumental in developing infielders and catchers while also contributing to recruiting, video analysis, and opponent scouting.

Sturges began his coaching career with Twelve Baseball, a nationally recognized organization where he led high school and collegiate summer teams in the prestigious Premier League. There, he coached elite-level players, including several top prospects from the Texas Class of 2025, helping shape their path to college baseball and beyond.

As a player, Sturges competed at Texas Christian University, Howard College, UTSA, Texas A&M University, and UT Rio Grande Valley, earning NJCAA All-American honors at Howard College and establishing himself as a versatile infielder and utility player throughout his collegiate career.

A native of Beaumont, Texas, and a graduate of Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Sturges brings passion, energy, and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
