Chyanne Bulter began her position as Assistant Basketball coach for the women's basketball team in July 2025.
Chyanne Butler is a former top recruit from the 2014 class whose basketball journey reflects both excellence and evolution. A standout point guard, she played at St. Bernard and JSerra Catholic High School, securing a CIF Championship as a freshman and finishing her high school career with over 1,500 points. She went on to play collegiately at the University of Southern California and the University of Houston.Â
Although Her college career was marked by adversity—tearing her meniscus twice, limiting her playing time it however led her to deepening her inner game. Through injury and recovery, Chyanne discovered the power of mindset, emotional intelligence, and leadership, tools that would later define her coaching philosophy.
In 2022, she launched her coaching career at Pacifica High School, where she led her team to a CIF Championship in her first season. She then returned to JSerra Catholic High School, where her first year brought zero wins—but with persistence and vision, she turned the program around and led the team to a CIF title the very next year. Her efforts were recognized when she was named 2024 Coach of the Year.
With two CIF rings in just three years of coaching, Chyanne is on a mission to inspire young women to be more than basketball players—to embrace their worth, lead with confidence, and think beyond the game. She believes basketball is not just physical, but deeply mental, and she uses it as a platform to help athletes unlock high-level thinking, emotional resilience, and self-belief.
