Dr. Kennedy Lester joined the Prairie View A&M University Department of Athletics in July 2024 as an Athletic Academic Advisor II. In her role, she provides academic support and guidance for the Panthers' Women's Volleyball, Women's Bowling, and Men's Track & Field programs. She also serves as the department's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Advisor, helping to foster student-athlete leadership, engagement, and community involvement.
Lester earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Applied Exercise Science, and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Austin Peay State University. During her time at Austin Peay, she gained valuable experience as an intern with the football program, working alongside the film staff, Director of Football Operations, Player Personnel, Director of On-Campus Recruiting, and Athletic Academics. She also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Health and Human Performance.
Committed to advancing student success in higher education, Lester earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Leadership in 2025. Her passion for student-athlete development, academic achievement, and leadership education continues to make a positive impact on the Prairie View A&M Athletics community.
