The Prairie View A&M soccer program picked up a key addition for the 2014 campaign with the signing of
Brianna Brown to a National Letter of Intent.
A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., Brown attended Palmer High School is a three-sport standout as she played soccer and basketball while also participating in track & field. Brown, who plays the forward position, played for Pride Soccer Club's Copa 96 team and has led her team to back-to-back championships in the 2009 and 2010 State Cup. The Copa 96 team is ranked 13th overall in the state of Colorado as they won the 12th annual Colorado Showcase in May of 2013.
"I am excited to attend Prairie View A&M in the fall," said Brown. "I cannot wait for the 2014 season so that I can get better and compete at a higher level."

In addition to the signing of Brown, the Lady Panthers once again earned the 2012-13 College Team Academic Award as they posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year. Prairie View A&M soccer also collected the Team Ethics Award Merit "Silver Award" which is given to teams that have not received any (0) Red Cards at any time during the season. The "season" includes all regular season and play-off contests. A total of 159 NCAA Division I, II, and III teams claimed the Silver Award.
