BOX SCORE

Prairie View A&M displayed an all-around game on Tuesday as they forced 34 turnovers in a 93-35 non-conference win over Arlington Baptist before a packed crowd of 4,512 in the William Nicks Building.

The Panthers stormed out to an 8-0 lead before Arlington Baptist trimmed its deficit to 10-5 on a Josh Green three-pointer.  From that point, the Panthers turned it up on both ends of the court with four turnovers which fueled a 12-0 run and a 22-5 advantage with 11:52 remaining.  The Panthers refused to let up in the first half as their lead grew to as much as 29 (46-17) on Marvin Adu's layup with 29 seconds remaining in the half.

Prairie View continued to shine defensively in the second stanza as they held ABC scoreless for nearly a seven-minute span.  Offensively, the Panthers kept putting the ball in the basket as their lead increased to 68-17 behind the strength of a 22-0 surge.  With head coach Byron Rimm II playing most of his roster, the Panthers had no problem scoring despite which lineup played as they claimed a 50-plus point margin on several occasions.

Junior guard Ryan Gesiakowski led three Panthers in double figures with 18 points.  Junior guard Jourdan DeMuynck followed with 15 points and six boards while sophomore forward Cortney Bell chipped in 13 points.  Defensively, Bell and DeMuynck led PV with six rebounds while senior forward Tim Meadows tallied a team-high five steals.

The Panthers will hit the road following tonight's win immediately as they're headed to Fort Myers, Fla. to face Florida Gulf Coast University on Thursday evening at 6:05 p.m. CST.
