Prairie View A&M To Face Grambling State In Dallas On Monday Afternoon

Monday's doubleheader tips off at 4:30 p.m.

DALLAS – The Prairie View A&M basketball teams will spend its MLK Holiday in Dallas as both squads prepare to battle Grambling State at the Ellis Davis Fieldhouse beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

The Panthers picked up a big road win at Jackson State on Saturday night as sophomore guard Louis Munks scored a career-high 25 points in a 72-66 victory. Prairie View A&M has won six of the past seven games versus Grambling State since 2007 with PV winning in Dallas and Grambling picking up a home victory in Grambling, La. last season. Grambling State is coming off a home loss to Texas Southern on Saturday and has won two SWAC games this season.

For the second straight year, the Lady Panthers fell in the closing seconds as Jackson State squeaked out with a 48-46 victory on Saturday. Since the 2005-06 campaign, Prairie View A&M has dominated the series versus Grambling State by a margin of 14-1 with GSU's lone win occurring in 2010. The Lady Panthers fell on Saturday to Texas Southern and are 2-3 in SWAC play this season.
