The Prairie View A&M Lady Panther volleyball team will put their undefeated SWAC West record on the line tonight as they'll face league rival Texas Southern at the H&PE Arena in Houston at 7 p.m. The contest will also be streamed live via the Internet as the SWAC-TV Volleyball Match of the Week.
The SWAC couldn't have picked a better matchup as tonight's game will have major implications on the divisional race in addition to the storylines between both teams. While this will mark the first conference meeting between both schools in 2012, tonight's game will be the third time PV and TSU will meet on the volleyball court this year as both teams split a pair of 3-2 decisions in Houston on Sept. 1 and Las Vegas a week later on Sept. 8. In addition to the rivalry on the court, the matchup will also feature a showdown on the sidelines as PV head coach Alicia Pete will square off against TSU's Jocelyn Adams, a former head volleyball coach at PV in the 1990s.
