Panthers Open SWAC Tourney Against Alcorn State On Thursday

GARLAND, Texas – The Prairie View A&M men's basketball NCAA Tournament quest begins Thursday afternoon with a 12:30 p.m. battle versus No. 6 Alcorn State at the Garland Special Events Center.

This marks the first meeting between both teams in postseason play since 2003 and PV's fifth SWAC Tournament bid since that game while this marks Alcorn State's first SWAC Tourney bid since 2007.

Both teams are very familiar with each other with PV defeating the Braves in their season finale on Saturday. Junior guard Jourdan DeMuynck scored a career-high 27 points in the win for the Panthers as the win marked the ninth for PV in 11 outings against the Braves.
