The Lady Panthers had their chances in the latter innings with a solid opportunity at scoring in the seventh. In the seventh, PV had runners on the corners with no outs but fell victim to an untimely double play as a baserunning error on third after the lineout cost the team a prime opportunity to score.

The season comes to an end for first-year head coach Vernon Bland as his 21 wins marked the most wins at PV since 2005 and the program's first winning record since 2003.
