Prairie View A&M could not get into an offensive flow as it was forced to focus on slowing down Lamar's scoring frenzy in a 5-1 loss on Friday night. The Lady Panther's soccer team allowed four goals in the first period of play.

Bianca Garza found herself in multiple one-on-one situations. She finished the game with 11 saves. The Lady Panthers were out-shot 36-9 by the Cardinals, putting Garza in the pressure cooker for most of the game.
The Lady Panthers got their only offensive production in the form of
Angie Guillory. She took a cross from
Katherine Sheppard in the 38
th minute put it in the back of the net with some touch to catch Lamar goal keeper Bailey Fontenot to out of position for her first goal of the season. Guillory's goal marked her first goal against her former team. She transferred from Lamar after her freshman season and had a productive season in the SWAC in 2011 as a first team all-conference player.
The Lady Panthers will not play again until Sunday, Sept. 16 at Nichols State, In Thibodaux Louisiana.
