The Prairie View A&M Panthers close out its road trip on Friday night at Southern. This marks the fifth straight game away from home and the final road contest before returning home on Sunday, Jan. 6. The contest will be broadcast live on KPVU 91.3 FM immediately following the women's contest which begins at 5:30 p.m.
The Panthers have dropped five-straight contests dating back to Dec. 15 and are coming off a 68-54 loss to Alcorn State on Wednesday night. The loss marked the second consecutive season Prairie View A&M dropped its conference opener. Southern, which is eligible for the SWAC Tournament after a postseason ban last year, swept Prairie View A&M last season for the first time since 2008. The Jaguars have not won three straight over PV since a six-game winning streak from 2006 to 2008. PV has won 5-of-7 versus Southern as head coach Byron Rimm II is 5-7 lifetime against the Jaguars.

Following Friday's game, Prairie View A&M returns home for the first time in nearly a month as they'll begin a three-game homestand on Sunday versus Texas Southern at 7 p.m. in the Baby Dome.
