BOX SCORE Prairie View A&M's soccer match vs. Mississippi Valley State on Friday night was stopped in the 71^st minute due to multiple lightning delays and will go down in the books as a 0-0 tie.

The Lady Panthers 3-8-1 (1-1 SWAC) had Mississippi Valley on the run but could not cash in on multiple wide open shots and four shots on goal. Prairie View A&M out-shot the Delta Devils 6-to-3 and led by forwards Breanna Powell and Angie Guillory, who had two shots each. Junior midfielder Celene Batrez contributed with two shots and came dangerously close to scoring off of a header in the eighth minute.

Junior goal keeper Bianca Garza's record slid to 1-0-1, and she has recorded two shutouts in as many games this season. Prairie View A&M will host Alcorn State at 1 p.m. on Sunday on the soccer field.
