BOX SCORE Prairie View A&M improved to 3-1 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division after defeating Grambling 4-0 on Sunday afternoon on the PV Soccer field. With the win, the Panthers have at least secured a No. 3 seed in the upcoming SWAC Tournament.

Debbie Arguelles scored two goals in the blowout victory, taking her season-total to four. She scored her first goal in the 34th minute to give the Lady Panthers a 1-0 lead. She then followed up with a goal in the 59th minute to give the Prairie View A&M a 3-0 lead.

Ashley Virgil put the icing on the cake with a goal in the 73rd minute to put the Lady Panthers up 4-0. Â

Angie Guillory kicked in her sixth goal of the season minutes before Arguelles chipped in her final goal. Guillory also accounted for two assists in the win, taking her season-total to four. Junior midfielder
Celene Batrez and Guillory finished the regular season tied with six goals each to lead Prairie View A&M. Batrez is the team points leader at 17, and Guillory is one point behind her teammate.

Senior goal keeper
Bianca Garza finishes the season with an unblemished record and no goals allowed. She finished the season with five shut outs and a perfect save percentage; she is the only keeper this season to have played in five or more games and not allow a goal.

The Lady Panthers finished off the regular season with a record of 6-8-1, and are set up to finish at least a second place finish in the SWAC West. Southern, which is 2-0 in conference play, has two more SWAC West games vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Grambling on Nov. 1st and Nov.3rd respectively.
