The Prairie View A&M Panthers continue its five-game road trip with the second leg of the Colorado Challenge as they head to Las Cruces, NM to face New Mexico State on Wednesday evening in the Pan American Center at 8 p.m. The four-game challenge will conclude this weekend in Greeley, Colo. as the Panthers will move on to face Northern Colorado and Bethune-Cookman.
New Mexico State is 3-0 all-time versus the Prairie View A&M Panthers with all games taking place under the Marvin Menzies era. Both teams last met on Dec. 28, 2009. New Mexico State is a member of the WAC and is 23-0 all-time versus teams from the SWAC. The Aggies are coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament Appearances and have won 14 straight games on their home court. The Aggies feature two players over 7-3 in Sim Bhullar and Tanveer Bhullar.
The Panthers are coming off a 95-68 loss to Colorado State on Monday night in Fort Collins, Colo. Guard John Brisco led the Panthers with 17 points. Junior guard Montrael Scott is PVAMU's leading scorer with 16.6 points per game and top rebounder with 5.4 boards per outing. The Dallas, Texas native is also PVAMU's top three-point shooter with a 55 percent clip.
