GAME NOTES

KPVU 91.3 FM

The Prairie View A&M Panthers prepare for their final regular season road trip as they'll face Alabama State on Saturday, Feb. 23 and Alabama A&M on Monday, Feb. 25.  With the season coming to an end, the Panthers will need an extra dose of energy with four games scheduled during a span which ranges from Feb. 23 to March 2.  Both contests will be broadcast live on KPVU 91.3 FM.

The Panthers lost a critical game to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday night as UAPB handed them a 76-47 loss in the Baby Dome.  The loss cost the team two spots in the SWAC standings as PV is tied for the No. 4 spot.  Senior shooting guard Jourdan DeMuynck leads the Panthers with 14.6 points per game and is pulling down a team-high 6.3 rebounds per outing.  Senior guard Carl Blair follows with 9.7 points and a team-high 4.9 assists.

PV head coach Byron Rimm II is 7-6 lifetime versus Alabama State.  Since 2001, Alabama State has won 16-of -24 games against the Panthers.  PV has won three straight over ASU dating back to Jan. 28, 2012 and is looking for its first-ever four-game winning streak over the Hornets in the series.
