GARLAND, Texas – SWAC Tournament play kicks off on Thursday night as the No. 4 seed Prairie View A&M Panthers battle No. 3 Alcorn State at 8:00 p.m. in the Curtis Culwell Center. The contest will be broadcast by KPVU 91.3 FM in addition to a live video stream by www.swac.org.

The Panthers enter Thursday's game looking to win their first postseason contest since 2009 and only their third postseason win since 2003. The contest will be a rematch of last tear's first round SWAC Tournament opener in which the Braves won 103-79.

Led by second team All-SWAC guard Jourdan DeMuynck's 15.4 points per game, the Panthers will need a team effort in their attempt to defeat Alcorn State. ASU swept the season series over the Panthers this past year as they claimed an 81-75 win over PV on Feb. 28.

If the Panthers win on Thursday, they'll play either Jackson State or Alabama State Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
